Building Works - Part 3
Steel work complete
Severe storms at the end of December and beginning of January presented the builders with some challenges when installing the new steel work which arrived on site in December.
Battling the elements, progress continues and the structural beams are all in place meaning the scale of the new building can now be seen. The block and beam floor has been installed enclosing the lower floor.
Lots of legwork is being done to source items such as the windows and doors (the main glass sliding door onto the balcony overlooking the water is almost 6.5m wide - you can see the size of the opening in the pictures below).
Next the builders will construct the remaining first floor walls and gable ends in timber before the roof is put in place
